ANZAC BISCUITS


Here is a recipe for ANZAC biscuits. Print off the recipe and use the verbs from the box below to complete the procedure. You can then try making them at home!


You will need:


1 cup rolled oats

1 cup sifted plain flour

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

½ cup coconut

125g butter

2 tablespoons golden syrup

1 tablespoon boiling water

1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

METHOD:


___________ oats, sifted flour, sugar and coconut together in a large bowl.


__________ syrup and butter together in another bowl.


_______________ soda with boiling water and ________ into melted butter and syrup.


____________ mixture into dry ingredients.


____________ rounded teaspoons of mixture onto a lightly greased oven tray (about 5cm apart).

_____________ out with a fork.


______________ in a slow oven (160˚c) for about 20minutes or until biscuits feel a bit firm.

This mixture makes about 25 biscuits.
